11/9/2011 - Simple Steps Series - Lancaster, PA

Offered on 11/9, 11/16, 11/23, 11/30 and 12/7, this five part Simple Steps Workshop series may be the best action you can take to strengthen an existing business or to start up a new one with the right processes in place to achieve success.  Workshops in the series can be taken individually or as a set.

 

The five part Package is offered six times per year in "cycles". This series is a comprehensive offering that consists of five three hour evening sessions which address 1) what you need to know to start a business; 2) the concepts involved with creating a business plan; 3) marketing you, your product, service and company; 4) creating and understanding business financial forecasts and reports and how they work; 5)how to fund your business.

 

Cost: $125 for all 5 parts or $30 per individual session

This is a 3 part series held over 3 consecutive weeks.

 

Planning is your map to success in the business world. This three-week course is a must for anyone starting a small business, and / or buying, financing, or refinancing one. Taught by local SCORE counselors, this step-by-step process will help you (1) move ideas from your head to paper in an organized, clear, and convincing manner; (2) identify those key points that can make or break your chances of success; (3) discover what critical points commercial lenders typically focus on; and (4) avoid the most common mistakes in business planning and analysis.

You have come to the right place if you are in the early stages of thinking about starting a small business. In fact, even if you have started up your business and realized you missed a few things, this workshop is still right for you. Starting a Small Business: If you are thinking about "becoming your own boss," this is a chance to get an overview of the things you need to know and the skills you need to have. Subjects include: legal issues, accounting issues, organization, and management. The workshop allows you to practice networking with other entrepreneurs. Existing business owners can use this workshop as a "checkup" on their operations.

 

This workshop is presented in partnership with the Small Business Assistance Center.

This Webinar covers the first steps a small business needs to take to prepare for doing business with the Federal and State Governments. It offers an overview of the codes and registrations, explanation of small business certifications, potential strategies small businesses can use when approaching this market, and tips for marketing your firm to federal and state agencies. This Webinar is open to Pennsylvania residents only. A short pre-workshop survey will be sent after registration to aid in tailoring the workshop to the attendees. This Webinar is limited to six attendees.
