Leland Nelson
Dirty Dog Hauling

Leland Nelson

Leland Nelson, president and co-founder of Dirty Dog Hauling, LLC, specializes in removing unwanted items from homes or offices. In other words-he hauls away people's junk. Leland and co-owner Gary Fallings started their business in 2005 with a dump truck and $2,400. Dirty Dog will help with junk removal for any occasion, whether it's due to selling a home, remodeling, or repair work. After removing the junk, they will either recycle items or donate useable items to local charities.

Leland was introduced to the Kutztown University Small Business Development Center (KU SBDC) through SCORE. "I took a class through the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania for my minority business registration. SCORE said it [KU SBDC] is free, they will help you out," he says.
