Programs Offered to Help Existing Businesses Survive the
Economic Crisis
Listening to Your Business Workshops |
|
Listening to Your Business is an interactive program
developed by entrepreneurs for entrepreneurs. It is a
four-hour live workshop followed by a networking lunch.
Meant for existing businesses, this workshop will help
you chart your three-year strategic vision, determine
what stage of development your business is in, identify
areas in your business that need to be strengthened to
support growth and translate your goals into action
steps, all in the context of today's economic reality.
The networking lunch gives attendees the opportunity to
meet with other business owners and to speak with KU
SBDC consultants and SeedCo staff.
The workbook used during this workshop will help you
implement a growth plan. You can supplement the program
with access to an e-learning on demand module as well as
Strategic Planning and Execution to help plan for
your business future.

KU SBDC Outreach
A
cool
summer
breeze floats by a group of diners on the 200 block of
Main Street. Their chatter echoes through the quiet
streets of Kutztown. If Mayor Sandy Green gets her wish,
someday this scene will be a reality for the community
of Kutztown, Pennsylvania.
Mayor Green wants the residents of Kutztown to feel that
the downtown area is a place they can gather. "In the
three years since I've been mayor the relationship
between the university and the town has strengthened. I
meet with Dr. Cevallos about every six to eight weeks
for lunch and the administration and I work very well
together," she said. Kyle Quinn's horrible death last
year really affected the town as a whole. She believes
it has created a stronger bond between the community and
the school. "We formed KuBok, the neighborhood watch
program where residents, students and the administration
work together. I walk once a month, myself," she
explained.
