Kutztown SBDC: Government Marketing

Each year, the Federal Government purchases more than $200 billion worth of products and services provided by businesses. Kutztown University’s SBDC helps hundreds of those businesses annually acquire federal, state and local government prime contracts and subcontracts. Qualifications

PTAC & DETA

Our Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC) and Defense Economic Transition Assistance (DETA) programs help you market your products and services to Federal, State and Local Governments free of charge. We also work with inventors and researchers to obtain SBIR/STTR grants.

Identifying Government Contracts

If you are qualified, we will help you identify government procurements opportunities by:

  • Using a computerized bid/match program
  • Matching your products and services with ideal opportunities
  • Selecting government agencies for submission of bidder mailing list applications
  • Refining your government marketing plan
  • Providing procurement-related web sites
  • Educating you on the SBIR/STTR Program

Acquiring Government Contracts

Once you determine what government solicitation you want to bid on, we help you:

  • Prepare your proposals
  • Highlight critical areas of solicitation
  • Provide a proposal outline from the solicitation
  • Develop government marketing and subcontracting strategies
  • Review your submission
  • Help you respond to pre- and post-award surveys
  • Obtain SBIR/STTR program contracts
  • Work effectively with government agencies and prime contractors
  • Obtain and understand Federal, State and Local Procurement Acquisition Regulations
